Team InnovateX - Faculty of Computing UMPSA wins 5th Place at DICRATHON 2024
5 November 2024, Tanjung Malim - In a remarkable accomplishment, Team InnovateX from the Faculty of Computing at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has won 5th place overall at the prestigious Digital Creative Marathon (DICRATHON) 2024. This event, hosted by Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) in collaboration with the tech industry, took place at the Dewan Auditorium, KSAJS, UPSI.
The talented InnovateX team members, Amir Ali, Shatthiya Ganes, Yattish, Haziq Danial, and Khairul Azfar, demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and creativity. Guided by their advisor, Ts. Azma Abdullah, the team developed MySihat, a groundbreaking telehealth platform aimed at addressing the healthcare accessibility challenges faced by rural communities.
𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐲𝐒𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐭
MySihat is more than just a telehealth platform; it serves as a comprehensive healthcare solution for underserved areas. The platform integrates an AI-powered symptom checker, doctor matching for virtual consultations, and real-time health monitoring, enabling users to receive timely medical attention regardless of location. Additional features such as digital health records, medication reminders, predictive health analytics, and wellness tools like a BMI and blood sugar calculator enhance the platform’s functionality, empowering users to manage their health with ease and confidence.
The Digital Creative Marathon, a national competition involving 35 teams from 11 universities and polytechnics, challenged participants to develop digital solutions addressing pressing social and technological issues. Through applications like MySihat, participants showcased projects designed to improve public service efficiency and tackle challenges in healthcare and education.
