10 January 2025, Pekan - Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) successfully organized the Majlis Apresiasi Atlet dan AJK Kejohanan Sukan Antara Fakulti (SUKFAC). This special event was held at the Astaka Faculty of Computing to recognize and celebrate the achievements of FK athletes and the contributions of the organizing committee. Their hard work played a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the FK contingent throughout the competition.

The ceremony had a great turnout of students, faculty members, and coaches who gathered to celebrate the success of SUKFAC 2025. The event went smoothly and received a very positive response from attendees, showing its importance to the faculty community.

For your information, during the Kejohanan Sukan Antara Fakulti (SUKFAC), the Faculty of Computing at UMPSA achieved great success by winning a total of eight medals which included one gold, two silver, and five bronze. This achievement reflected the dedication, hard work, and teamwork of FK athletes. Their success not only showed their talent and commitment but also helped raise the faculty’s reputation in sports. This accomplishment serves as motivation for future athletes to continue bringing pride to the faculty.

The event was carefully planned to provide a meaningful experience for all participants. The afternoon session started with participant registration and followed by an opening speech by the PETAKOM President. This set a positive tone for the ceremony and led to a montage presentation that highlighted the journey of SUKFAC. The presentation brought back memories and inspired everyone as they reflected on the challenges and victories of the championship.

One of the most important parts of the event was the appreciation speech delivered by the Deputy Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies of the Faculty of Computing, Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Suryanti binti Awang. Her speech recognized and celebrated the dedication of the athletes and committee members, emphasizing their key role in the success of SUKFAC 2025. This was followed by an award presentation where FK athletes were formally recognized for their hard work and achievements. The ceremony ended with a meal session and a special performance, adding a fun and memorable touch to the event.

The main goal of this program was to honour and appreciate the hard work of FK athletes and the organizing committee, who played a big part in making SUKFAC 2025 a success. Beyond recognition, the event also aimed to encourage students to participate in future sports events while fostering teamwork and unity among FK students.
