UMPSA's Faculty of Computing Students Shine at MyDigitalMaker Fair 2024
Kuala Lumpur, 15 September 2024 - The annual MyDigitalMaker Fair, organized by MDEC, brought together education, technology, and innovation under one roof, featuring a range of activities that catered to students, teachers, and industry professionals. This year's event saw the participation of students from the Faculty of Computing (FK) at UMPSA, who showcased their innovative projects to a wider audience.
The FK students were invited to participate in the event as part of the MD PDTi technology club, where they displayed their projects, including a 2D game developed using Unity, a navigation website for the Faculty of Computing, and a multi-functional system for Wi-Fi and NFC. The projects garnered significant attention, particularly the 2D game, which impressed school students. Industry representatives who visited the FK booth were impressed with the projects and provided positive feedback, encouraging the students to further develop their projects for commercialization.
The MyDigitalMaker Fair provided a valuable opportunity for FK students to showcase their skills and innovative ideas to a broader audience, including industry professionals and government representatives. The event was also attended by TikTok influencer Aminxabid, who inspired school students to continue innovating. The Faculty of Computing's participation in the event will continue annually, providing a platform for students to showcase their projects to the industry and promoting the faculty's reputation at UMPSA.
