UMPSA Conducted the Validation of Three Regulatory Programmes at Muscat College, Oman.
MUSCAT, OMAN, 5 November 2024 - A delegation from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), led by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing (FK), Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Adzhar Kamaludin, and the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI), Dr. Mohd Hanafiah Ahmad, visited Muscat College in Muscat, Oman, to conduct the validation of three regulatory programmes at the university.
The programmes involved are the Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) with Honours and the Bachelor of Computer Science (Computer Systems and Networks) with Honours under FK. For FPI, the programme involved is the Bachelor of Project Management with Honours.
According to Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Adzhar, during this visit, the team also conducted a documentation audit session, interviews with students and lecturers, and reviewed the facilities at Muscat College.
"This audit session concluded with an Exit Meeting to improve the operations and documentation for all three regulatory programmes of UMPSA," he stated.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohd Hanafiah remarked that UMPSA's visit also provided an opportunity for them to hold interviews and carry out several activities aimed at enhancing the regulatory programmes at Muscat College.
Additionally, a seminar on the Implementation of Outcome-Based Learning (OBE) methods in the assessment and teaching of regulatory programmes was conducted, along with a workshop on implementing OBE using examples of final examination questions.
Furthermore, students at Muscat College had the opportunity to gain information about pursuing further studies at UMPSA for postgraduate programmes at the master's and PhD levels, as a result of the collaboration between the two institutions.
To date, 303 students from Muscat College, Oman, are enrolled in the Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) with Honours, Bachelor of Computer Science (Computer Systems and Networks) with Honours, and Bachelor of Project Management with Honours programmes, all regulated by UMPSA.
