Bangkok, Thailand, April 17, 2024

One of the Software Engineering students, Ms Nur Sofhia Izzaty binti Mohamad Aziz, had the unique opportunity to participate in an international digital communication forum organized by World Learning and Digital Communication Network Global. The event was held three (3) days at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel starting on April 14, and was funded by the State Department's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (U.S. Department of State Office of Citizen Exchanges).

The student had a chance to meet 120 innovators from 24 countries and was able to get direct connection for knowledge that discussed deeper into the latest trends in AI, Blockchain, IoT, AR/VR and digital transformation. During this transformative program, the student was immersed in the following key areas: generative artificial intelligence (GAI), privacy and ethics, the importance of blockchain in AI, journalism and digital literacy, and prompt engineering.

This valuable opportunity was initiated by the network from the previous program that is ASEAN Foundation Model Asean Meeting (AFMAM) Plus Japan 2023. After going through the assessment of 4 to 5 essays related to their own passion and the forum theme: Web3 Fusion: Embracing AI and Beyond, the student was granted to attend the event with fully-funded flight tickets, accommodation and food.

This program helps the student to enrich the expertise and facilitates the exchange of knowledge with international experts and peers that foster a collaborative environment for future technological innovations. This has dedicated the student's passion to advancing AI and blockchain, with a focus on ethical practices and technological excellence, positions students as a forward-thinking leader in the digital age.⁠
