Graduate Employability Report (2024)
In the year 2024, the Faculty of Computing (FK) produced a total of 478 graduates across its academic offerings, which include three (3) Bachelor degree programs— Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) (BCS), Bachelor of Computer Science (Computer System and Networking) (BCN), and Bachelor of Computer Science (Graphics and Multimedia Technology) (BCG) as well as one (1) Diploma program, namely the Diploma in Computer Science (DCS/DRC).
Out of these 478 graduates, 468 individuals, representing a high response rate of 97.91%, participated in the Sistem Kajian Pengesanan Graduan (SKPG) survey administered by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) for the year 2024. A detailed breakdown of the Graduate Employability performance by program is presented in Table 1.
Table 1 : 2024 GE Report by Program
According to the findings from the SKPG 2024 survey, FK achieved an impressive Graduate Employability (GE) rate of 99.4%. This percentage reflects the proportion of graduates who, within 6 to 12 months after their Senate endorsement, were either employed, pursuing further studies, undergoing job placement processes, or attending certified short courses.
Additionally, the SKPG data provides further insights into the employability outcomes, including:
- The percentage of graduates employed in roles relevant to their field of study,
- The proportion categorized as skilled workers,
- The average salary received by graduates across programs, and
- The percentage of graduates who secured premium-level salaries based on their specific academic program.
