Distributed Database
Database System is an organized collection of data. Distributed Database System (DDS) is one of the major developments in the database area, where it moves from centralization towards decentralization system. With the advances in distributed processing and distributed computing, the database research communities have carried out considerable works to address issues of data distribution, distributed design, distributed query processing, distributed transactions management and etc. One of the major issues in data distribution is replicated data management. Data replication in DDS technology involves copying data between data stores and guarantees data across multiple sites in a distributed environment. Distributed database replication can be developed based on homogeneous or heterogeneous system.
