Dialogue Session with the Dean
15 November 2024, Pekan - The Computer Technology Students' Association (PETAKOM) of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) successfully organised a Dialogue Session with the Dean, which was held vibrantly at the Astaka Hall, Faculty of Computing.
A total of 30 diploma and undergraduate students attended this interactive programme, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Adzhar Bin Kamaludin, and the Deputy Dean of Academics, Ts. Dr. Junaida Binti Sulaiman. The event, which lasted for two and a half hours, focused on open and constructive dialogue between students and the administration.
Key topics discussed included:
- Current academic issues
- Suggestions for improvements in teaching programmes
- Students' concerns regarding faculty infrastructure and facilities
- Opportunities for extracurricular activities
The programme was also enlivened by a lucky draw session that offered prizes such as mice, keyboards, and other exciting gifts to several fortunate students.
This dialogue session successfully achieved its objectives by:
- Enhancing students' understanding of faculty operations
- Providing a platform for students to voice their opinions
- Strengthening the relationship between the administration and the student community
The Dean of the Faculty of Computing also took the opportunity to gather constructive feedback from students for the long-term development of the institution.
Such programmes are hoped to continue in the future as a platform for ongoing and meaningful communication.
