PUCHONG, 23 August 2026 – An alumnus of the Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Muhammad Ezam bin Fauzi, has successfully completed the Embedded Systems track under the National Semiconductor Excellence Program (NSEP) at the Advanced Semiconductor Academy of Malaysia (ASEM), further demonstrating FK UMPSA's commitment to producing industry-ready graduates for Malaysia's rapidly expanding semiconductor industry.

Muhammad Ezam, who graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor of Computer Science (Multimedia and Graphic Design) with Honours, was among 454 graduates recognised during the NSEP Graduation Ceremony, which celebrated participants from nine cohorts who successfully completed the national semiconductor talent development programme. The initiative, managed by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) through ASEM, was established to strengthen Malaysia's semiconductor workforce by equipping graduates with industry-relevant technical competencies and practical experience.

The graduation ceremony was officiated by YB Tuan Haji Akmal Nasir, Minister of Economy, alongside YB Tuan Ng Sze Han, Selangor EXCO for Investment, Trade and Mobility, reflecting the national significance of developing highly skilled talent to support Malaysia's semiconductor ecosystem.

From 20 April to 22 August 2026, Muhammad Ezam underwent an intensive four-month training programme that combined classroom learning with industry-oriented practical exposure. As a participant in the Embedded Systems track, he developed competencies in C programming, Linux, Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems development, and industry practices designed to prepare participants for careers in the semiconductor sector.

Coming from a Multimedia and Graphic Design computing background, Muhammad Ezam embraced the challenge of transitioning into the embedded systems domain, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and a strong commitment to continuous learning.

“Coming from a Graphic Multimedia background and transitioning into Embedded Systems has been one of the biggest challenges in my journey. Every lesson, every project, and every obstacle helped me grow into a better version of myself. This graduation is not the finish line—it is the beginning of a new journey,” he shared.
