PEKAN, 17 September 2026 – The Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), proudly served as the host university for the APEX@University Faculty Workshop: Empowering Educators to Teach AI-Powered Oracle APEX Application Development with Oracle Academy, organized in collaboration with Oracle Academy and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) under the Premier Digital Tech Institution (PDTI) initiative.

The workshop brought together academic instructors from higher education institutions across Malaysia and commenced with an opening speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Nizam Mohd Kahar.

In his address, he emphasized the importance of strengthening industry-academia collaboration and equipping educators with AI-powered application development skills to prepare graduates for the rapidly evolving digital economy.

Held from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m., the workshop featured technical sessions by Ms. Jean Shin, Program Manager, Oracle Academy; Mr. Boyanapalli Siva Rama Krishna Santhosh Kumar, Senior Manager, Database Developer Tools; and Ms. Ankita Beri, Senior Product Manager, Database Developer Tools. The speakers shared the latest developments in AI-powered Oracle APEX application development and its integration into higher education.

FK UMPSA also extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Azmar Hisham, Senior Manager, Tertiary Digital Talent & Entrepreneurship Department, Digital Adoption Division, MDEC, for his continuous support and valuable collaboration in making the workshop a success.
